Blocking

The variant is blocking – I use the method which the Yarn Harlot very helpfully describes here.
My only improvement on the method is to knot a loop for the pins at both ends of the waste yarn, rather than winding the yarn around the pins and hoping for the best.

Yesterday I went to see this exhibition at Dublin’s Museum of Modern Art, and naturally want to do a Frida-inspired pattern immediately.
