Hello, sorry for the recent silence, I’ve just been working – on a new pattern with Jamieson and Smith’s 2 ply jumper yarn.
It’s got dropped stitches, intarsia, stranding, ribbing, incs & decs, lots of colours, and lots of ends to weave in. I’m almost half way through it, and will drop the stitches at the end. The lower image is of the swatch with stitches dropped. There was a change of mind about the decreases half way through the swatch, which changed the width of the dropped sts.
Progress has slowed over recent days, as I’m in picturesque West Cork for the week, pictures soon.
Knitting, etc.

Here’s teilzeitheldin’s testknit of Shetland Ruffles, (in Wollmeise sockwool):

And here’s winterstitch’s testknit of High Seas – it’s a new version with plain wrong side rows – the small waves look a bit different from the original version – will be added to the pdf soon.

Today’s outing, to Dun Laoghaire, captured on the iphone -

Cycling through town yesterday in heavy rain, I was delighted to see somebody wearing one of my textile designs – a Millets cagoule from a few years back – I didn’t get a photo – this is the pattern from my archive:
