Archive for January, 2012
More pictures of the new pattern – the first in a series with contrasting areas of plain knitting and mesh created by dropping lots of stitches.
The series is called Camino because: the first sample I did reminded me of the scallop shell symbol of the Camino de Santiago.
The colours are a bit over the top.
I made this swatch last Summer, but decided to work on Shetland Daisies instead:
The idea has been salvaged in a new colourway, the yarn is still Jamieson & Smith (this will take a couple of weeks to finish):
I chopped it up in Photoshop for a variation:
I have an exclusive little knit/lab picture book to give away this month – with photos from the blog, photos of my patterns, some arty stuff, and of course Mini.
It’s soft cover, measures 6x8in/15x20cm, and has 20 pages. Anyone who purchases a pattern from my website or Ravelry store during January will be in the draw. (Multiple purchases will be entered multiple times!)
I used Apple’s iPhoto to put the book together over the holidays – it was printed in the Czech Republic, arrived in no time at all, and the print quality is excellent.
