Thanks for that Kieran you are a star the shawl is gorgeous. What a beautiful assistant you have and glad to see he helps with the yarn as well.
I had not realised how much work goes into designing a new MKAL for us and I very much appreciate it. I wish you could have heard the response I got when I arrived at my knitting group last week. All of them thought it was marvellous.
I absolutely love seeing your process! And Donnie, what a helper you have there! Those ears, he just kills me with his cuteness!
Stunning as usual!
Mother of Suffering Ducks………….hard to imagine coming up with this never mind executing it!! Quite extraordinary to say the least. Good thing you have Donnie to keep you SANE!! Sweetest thing ever.
That fiery circle of strong colors gives one a lift just looking at it! Masterful design.
Oh ! – you’re IRISH ? – no wonder you have such an imagination … As for that totally adorable pooch, words fail …
Absolutely beautiful! And it is spectacular how you are able to process different approaches and think through so many alternatives. And of course you are so lucky to have an adorable assistant!
Love the dog photos and the photo story of your creative process. I was going to ask where the name came from but I see the chestnut lear photo so I assume that inspired you. Love the circle shawl and I am on my 3rd. I just heard that one of my teacher friends from CT has cancer so I am making her one to wrap around herself. I will try to make this one larger. Thank you for designing a pattern that helps beautify our world. I’ve seen so many pretty shawls on your KAL thread.
Nice Idea with the chesnuts leaves..and thank you for the nice fotos from your dog too
Beautiful shawl and I really enjoyed seeing your design process and inspiration. Donnie has gotten so big, glad he is a good helper and trying to add fibre to his diet. Thank you for such a beautiful design, I love mine, but I think I need a red one.
Keiran,it’s a work of art! I couldn’t imagine sorting out all the threads at “rip back to part two”. Donnie is the sweetest assistant, and the action shots of him running towards you with his ears flying are just great!
Pfouuuuuuuuuuuu! Une splendeur !
Thank you so much for posting in-progress pictures of your design; I worry sometimes that I’m too much of a perfectionist with all the ripping back I do, but in the end if it’s not right, it’s not right. And your assistant deserves a bone for all his help! 😀
